Subject: RE: KitchenAid Pro 600 mixer: don't make them like they used to?

NC Iowa
i bought a pro 600 for my wife for her cake business about 6 years ago. she has used it alot but only with cakes. we have the ice cream attachment, but other than that, don't use meat grinder, ect. i watched the you tube videos and is seems like most of the problems are caused with mixing bread dough. we have a bread machine for that, so never used the mixer. i did think it was made for bread dough but just lucky we never did it.

did you see the video of the lady that had the lower housing broke out at the bushing gussets? did you check that to see is that is where the play is coming from?

i wonder if some people over do it when mixing dough, but it is supposed to be a heavy duty mixer so it you would think it would handle it.

post back on how what you found. it looks like a easy mixer to repair, even if you shouldn't have to.
