Subject: RE: KitchenAid Pro 600 mixer: don't make them like they used to?

If you can't make bread in a KitchenAid Pro 600 mixer, what good are they? There are a lot cheaper options that would be as good or better for light duty work such as cake batters and the like. In fact, we often use our handheld mixer in a normal bowl instead of the KitchenAid for tasks like that just because it seems to do a better job (KitchenAid can't get to the bottom of the bowl).

The light duty stuff we do with it is cookie dough and the heavy duty stuff we do is bread dough. If it can't be used for bread dough, it seems like it's not worth having?

I'll be adding a video link soon to show what my concern is as I'm putting it back together.
