Is the Mobile Device Holder the same as that of the Phantom 3 Professional/Advanced?

Yes. For the best experience we recommend using a smartphone instead of a tablet.
Just why would you want to use a little screen smartphone vs a nice big screen tablet?
When I purchased my Phantom3 Standard I was not very happy when discovered the device holder would not open wide enough for my I-Pad.
If I had not loaned this rig to my sister, I am sure I would have done a mod on the holder to hold the I-Pad.
