southern MN | Dji has had so e software issues over the years. A fair number of people have had fly aways, and a fair number of people have upgraded software only to not be able to fly the drone because of the flawed 'upgrade'. Customer support from the parent company has been a bit spotty. It seems dji puts time and effort into new developments, but is slow to respond to bugs and issues that weren't expected.
I know Inspire owners were quite unhappy for a period, as their new drones were grounded several times - bad app upgrade, issues with the props falling off, and so forth. Dj o's response always seems slow. They tried to release an iPad app from their site, not through Apple, so Apple shut them down period, that was a difficult thing to resolve and wait for..... It seems they have their Chinese business mentality overshadowing their help and customer relations departments. :)
Anyhow, that is what I get from discussions?
It will be interesting how the Solo, Typhoon, the new deal coming from GoPro, and others sort out into new and competing features and ideas. Any of them that get lighter, better batteries, and innovative software features will find a following.
