The 1370 Case is a good tractor for the money IF the trans is good.
The engine is a 504 turbo and it is a great engine.
The hydraulics are good.
The cab is Fair to good.
Now the bomb....the trans is well......its gonna die. Not just a question of "if" just when.
If the tractor has had a good home it could be ok. If it came from somewhere that had poor care or "cowboys" running it I would look elsewhere.
I am Not trying to say they are bad tractors. Because they are not. Just be aware that it could go to 10,000hrs and need a $5000 trans job, or on the other hand it could back off the trailer and need $10,000 in repair.
I would buy a nice 1370 if one fell in my path. I would look for a 90 or 94 series. | |
