Subject: Modify EZ-Steer for Corn Harvest?

I appreciated my EZ-Steer durning wheat harvest, and I was wondering if the steering motor couldn't be used for corn harvest. My thought was to mount a set of feelers on a corn head row and use their output to a controller to drive the steering motor instead of the GPS signal. Surely it would be fairly cheap compared to the GPS unit, and I already have the steering motor purchased and mounted. Maybe someone can take this idea and run with it.
