Try it I know you will like it. Don't remember which year it was that we started useing them. The first 930 head we got used already had it on as did
our second used 930. When we traded for a new 930 full finger it had the sch on before it ever was used. This season we're going to a 630 hydra flex,
going to go with the factory setup, as I under stand it these use a longer stroke with 4" sections.

Also have 2 neighbors that run Gleaners with the SCH, one has said he really likes his and the only trouble he had last season was lost one of the serreted counter sunk nuts and broke a couple gards on rocks.

Generally the gards will wear out before they break and if they do break it's from a rock speading them apart then the strap under the knife breaks.
Once in awhile the tip of a section will snap off but most of the time I can
change the section without taking off the gard unless it's in a triple gard.

When the gards get rounded off you can setup the next sickle with the sections reversed so the up's are down and the ones that were down in the normal way cut on top so you use the sharp edge of the gard again.
