Subject: RE: Easement for pipeline

Eight years ago I had a 36" natural gas line go through a farm. I think it amounted to $3600 per acre for damages. At the time it seemed like a fair amount of money. In the end it wasn't nearly enough. I can show you to this day where the easement is by the condition of the crops.

I always made them come get me when they went to hook up tile and do repairs.Their way and my way didn't always jive. I had to sign off on the job, so they had to do it the way I wanted.

You can be firm with the easement people but: once they decide the route, they are coming whether you like it or not.
