The Field manager has the most capabilities for what you will be needing. But just for steering the 500 will do just fine. The Ag leader and 600 might be better for you if you wanted a planter control/ yield monitor. From what i have heard from a unnamed source/ dealer is the 600 will be revamped shortly. The cheaper way for you to go is buy a Trimble Nav II controller, and use the 500 you already have. That will cost you about 6 grand plus some cabling. Or you can go with a NavII, and a 252, plus a different display which will cost you roughly 14 grand. It all depends if you will want more capabilities down the road, elevation mapping, yield mapping, planter control.
