The Topcon and Accutrak are two separate systems. The Topcon system uses a proportional valve with a 3 axis controller and has a cost of about $15,000 which includes the Prosteer hardware and software and a X20 console. This system accepts any GPS signal that outputs a NMEA string. This price dose not include any GPS hardware so you need some kind of reciever to give the system a signal.

The Accutrak system is in a different category altogether where the controller can be purchased for about $2000 but you still need a electro hydraulic valve and the plumbing which would cost about $4-600 and the labor to install which is true for both systems. This system also needs some sort of receiver to supply the NMEA string.

We started our GPS experience with a Outback S as a light bar and then added the Accutrak a few years later as our first autosteer. The Accutrak works reasonably well for non rowcrop work but just isn't up to the task for planting. For us that is! Everybody has a different opinion on this but we will not work with WASS anymore.

The price of an S2 and BaslineHD should be on outbacks website but you would need both of these to send the signal to both types of controllers if you go this route.

As for the autosteer systems interfering with the hydraulic systems this should not be a problem if they are installed correctly. We tee into the original steering supply and return lines so this shouldn't interfere with the operation of the hyd. system at all.
