The GPS Speed should be much more accurate than the radar speed. I have run into problems with the Insight holding the rate precisely due to control valves. The Insight displays the instantaneous rate as opposed to most monitors displaying an average rate. So while it appears the Insight is not holding the rate correctly is just giving you a more accurate picture of what is happening. If you would like to see the rate smooth out with little variation the Insight has a controller setting called rate smoothing. If you check this box it will make the rate appear as if it was hooked into your average controller. It will not give you as accurate a picture about what is going on but will ease your mind of the rate fluctuations.
