Subject: RE: looking for new to me rake

Washington Co Ks
I've had a wheel rake for quite a few years and like them. I just bought a new Kuhn but haven't used it yet. It is a two wheeled rake that lifts up. It looks like a very well built rake. Before I had a four wheel rake that folded forward. It was an older rake and not as high a lift as most of the newer ones. It took quite a bit I of space to turn around which was a problem when in a tight space and it would tear down a windrow when crossing one to get out of the field. I found that I could drive about as fast raking as I could stand to ride. I use a big round baler and rake two windrows together if that makes a difference. My new rake has a hyd valve that can be set to only let one side down if I want.
