probably the biggest benefit from the whole pp scene is/was that it made farmers more inclined to at least look at the operating condition of their planter, and to get out and dig a few seeds to see what's going on. but i also think it is giving some guys a false sense of accomplishment or finality. got all this whiz bang stuff on the planter, so i'm pretty much guaranteed that a good crop is in the works. the planter gadget market is sucking up a lot of money that could/should be used in other areas of the farming operation that may offer greater returns. i'm just getting too much of the mindset that if i got the planter all tricked out, everything else is kinda moot. |
