Subject: Where to buy gas strut for door on tractor



central ohio		I was wondering if there was a good place to buy the gas strut for the door on my Case IH 7120. Last time I bought from dealership and it seemed ridiculously priced. Thanks

NS Canada		Many auto parts places will have different sizes of them, for car hoods, trunks, hard toneau covers, truck cap doors... etc

Dearfield Co.		There should be a part number --------check it on ebay . We have been buying ours there since they are cheaper than a parts store for the same part

We went to auto store for one on an 8300 and it was too stout so ended up back at Deere for the correct one.  Just our experience.

NW Iowa		I think the last one on our 7120 was a&I. Tried the auto ones but they don't hold up in this case. Other tractors or window uses are prob OK.

Texas Panhandle		Our experience too. I'd say A&I or shoup. Can buy A&I on ebay.

Greene County Il.		Hy-Capacity has them. Part #1280263. They list at $37.00.
We put one on a 9370 a few years ago and it is still performing well.

Just got one from case ih. 57.00$. Picked on up at Auto parts store but didn't fit right. That one ways only 21.00$.

SESD		Get one from hy capacity or a&I same thing as dealer just cost way less. If ya can't find a dealer nearby I could drop ship ya one.

West central Ohio		A&I strut I just bought for door on my Deere 8200 tractor was cheaper from Deere dealer than ebay. Shipping is where they get you when buying from ebay. Trying to find strut for top lid of field office. Dealer wants $68 for that short strut. I tried Autozone and Advance Auto for the door strut and both said they couldn't match it. Don't think they tried very hard. I have seen posts on AT before that they bought one at parts store for a lot less.

ILLINOIS		I bought one at ebay , put it on yesterday. $35. with shipping. Had to change balls on ends and use old ones.
