I know we don't need it, but the copyright sign by our name was handy to note who was registered, and who was posting without disclosing their true identity.  Not a big deal to have it, but if it was easy to do, it told me if I was responding to a ghost or a responsible person willing to disclose true identity as I had already done.

It puts one at a disadvantage to answer a question from someone who wants to conceal their identity.  You never know where the flames are coming from, or why you get them.

I usually didn't respond or look at a post that didn't have the little copyright, figured if they didn't care to show me theirs, I didn't want to show mine.
