Subject: Curious on early verdict of Outback S3 users

I'm curious as to others experience with the Outback S3 as planting is wrapping up. We had several problems that were frustrating throughout our first year with autosteer and are wondering what others thought. Here are our complaints:

Touchscreen buttons and text way too small
Manual was terribly written and terribly vague
Snapping A-B lines worked some of the the time and sometimes not
Mapping functions are pretty poor. dropping flags is all you can really do.
Really struggled getting the tractor dialed in to go straight across the field
Customer support from company was poor at best...way too many sales, way too fast
Menu layouts need to be improved and simplified.

I (28 year old) didn't have many problems making the system work but my dad (56 year old) who did most of the planting struggled quite a bit. our corn is coming up now and i think we could've planted straighter by the marker....have friends that got s3's that had similar problems. don't know that we got our money's worth out of it or not. if they don't make software improvements, i've got my doubts. i'd invite to hear all the good and bad about what people thought of this new product.
