Why would you want to replace a simple burried wire with a complicated gps system? This area has lots of corner systems and I have never heard of lightening damaging the burried wire. Only the above ground componets. I also hear the auto steer guys talk about the gps units going down at times. For sure is not going to work very well for irrigation.

I have a Reinke pivot rented that has the GPS end gun controlls. Damn thing is so complicated that I can't figure out how to set it.
