NW NSW Australia
Try changing the hall effect sensor in the flow meter (angle sensor), this cleared up our SSU182 problems on a 8220.
If your steering valve is failing it will most likely not turn or turn hard in one direction for no apparent reason and then the codes go off and it will not engage again for some time.
The hall effect is much cheaper to replace $hundreds rather than $thousands for the valve so I would go there first. The later model steering valves have red led which comes on if the valve has failed I think.
