I agree w/you. I would hope AL folks would give us the option of entering gallons or pounds. I'd say that if you ever ran a Raven 440, you're used to entering pounds. Raven gave you that ability. You'd enter a full tank load of pounds of actual N & then watch it count down. This was in addition to the pounds of N accumulating in another window "as applied".

I treat the pounds of N as you describe treating the gallons. I believe a gallon of liquid NH3 weighs 5.12#. It's composed of 82.5% Nitrogen. So, there's 4.22# of actual N per gallon. A 100% full tank (not possible I realize) would hold 6120# of actual N. When I previously was using Ravens & I'd hook up to a tank containing 90%, I'd just take 90% of 6120 & enter 5500# in the Raven. If I was applying 100#/A (again, actual N) it was pretty easy to figure how far a tank should go.

I'd like to be able to enter the pounds of actual N in a tank into an Insight, personally.
