I used 3/4" plywood sub-floor underlayment. It had all voids filled on the top side and went with the straight edges in case we ever had to replace a panel. Primed the whole panel with Zinsser 1-2-3+ and top coated with Rust-Oleum paint in a stock color so would not need to keep a special paint code. Used Menard's synthetic grade board on the bottom to keep the wood away from any moisture. Steve
