Used 3/4" BCX plywood from Menards, took a router to "tongue and groove" the joints. Looks great, had it stained and sealed. Very happy. You can hang almost anything from a 1" screw or lag without issue. It's nice and smooth when you bump against it playing basketball. No splinters like OSB.

We have used OSB in other projects, seems like it is very hard to get paint to look uniform and it splinters when drilled.
