Subject: Too many safeties on bucket truck.(how to bypass)

North Central Alabama
I have a 1997 chevy 3500 truck with a 97 non insulated Altec AT200 aerial lift (bucket truck). It has a manual transmission with PTO drive hydraulic pump to operate the cylinders on the lift. Here's the steps you have to go through to operate the bucket truck.
Set factory Parking brake on truck
Slide box cover on floor around gear shifter over to lock truck trans. in netural and put pin in to prevent anyone from taking out of neutral .This slide makes a microswitch.
Pull PTO lever at box to put pump in gear
Lock electrohydraulic brake located on side of box
Move toggle switch on dash from truck to machine this kills engine on truck.
Get up in bucket and start truck engine and if you done it in the right sequence and did not forget anything the engine will start. Then you are free to work.
Then of course you have to reverse all procedures to move truck 1 foot or more.
I do not have a wiring diagram and I know one of these safety's will someday soon it will cause me grief.
The main one I would like to disable is the electrohydraulic brake. It has a smart box as shown in pictures located benind the drivers seat so it will probally hard to disable anything.Have you ever worked on any of these?
I know you are going to say safety's are not made to disable but I will always be the one to operate it.Can anybody help?

We bought a used Altec manlift. The company was happy to fix us up with manuals and support.
Just remember, human error creeps into everything. Try it for awhile to see if you can get along the way it is.

Those things sound like common sense to me. Think about what could happen to you or a poor
standby, if you don't lock the brakes, etc.
If you can't stand those issues, you will not be able to use any modern lift.

Oregon
Bypassed the same things so we could service pivots with one guy in the bucket and one driver. Medium Duty IH with DT466 and Alison auto. (Spare me the safety police.) In addition to standard air over hydraulic boom controls, the bucket also has air, live hydraulics and a kill switch. The kill switch is probably a good idea.
