USA | Denny,
Still sticking with NGMO corn. Use Regent for CB control, would not plant NGMO corn without Regent, really improves plant health. What concerns me the most now, is potential fall armyworm and ear worm damage from June planting.
Stated planting Wed, got half of the corn planted we are now going to plant. Which is now going to be about 65% of what I was planning to plant. Got 1.5 inches this morning, heard Kemper had 3 inches. Things are a mess here after the rain this morning.
Looks to me like the NGMO corn supply for the STL market is going to be on the short side with the way corn planting is going in the STL draw area, and with some people switching back to GMO corn because of the planting date. I would guess 30 to 40% of the corn is planted in this area. Not near as bad as 1978, didn't get in the field till June 10th that year, weeds as tall as the hood on the tractor.
