| We got in the field one day this week. Finished our sandy bottom land, we've got 500 acres in, 700 to go on corn. Not sure how long we'll stay with the corn, maybe one more week before we give up and go to beans. Upland is wet enough for a boat, couple pieces got mudded in around us, but I don't like planting when the planter wheels are cutting ruts.
Made a run 30 miles west of us and saw one field that was up couple more planted and a bunch of land that has never been touched. I'd say our local area is maybe 50% done with corn, but that might be a stretch, no beans planted that I know of.
Won't be dry enough to plant tomorrow, more rain in the forecast for Tuesday and Tuesday night. No way to know when we'll get back in the field. | |
