Pocahontas County, IA | I've got about 80% in the ground. The last 50 acres were really mudded in. I was counting on 1/2 inch of rain to make up for the less than ideal conditions. So far .3 of an inch since I pulled out of the field yesterday with more in the forecast for later in the week. There are reports of early planted corn sprouting down because of the cold upper soil temps. Time will tell on this crop year! | |
