Look at the numbers and the graphs in that Card report and tell me they didn't pull their conclusions right out of their ass. I don't think they can support their assertions.

Refiners margins have been steadily dropping since the early 90's while ethanol has only been a major player since about 2001. What's been going up since the early 90's? Imported gasoline.
