Do you think your current example will happen with any such example today or a year from now?

If so, to test your theory simply do it on paper first with no risk. 

If it work correctly you can always enter the market and do the trade and make the money. 

All it will cost you is some time.  

Maybe test the water with your toe before jumping in.
