Central IL
I have a 2001 with 4,100 hours. Bought it used from a coop a couple years ago with about 3200 hours. I came from a '94 patriot XL and it is night and day difference. Mine has 80' booms and the 800 gallon stainless tank, it seems to have plenty of power for me. I'm not sure of all the differences from a 3185 but I do know the booms are built heavier. The outer boom section folds over, not forward so the hinge point seems much stronger. Overall I am very pleased with mine, no major issues to date. The only issue I have ever heard with these is, if running wide open down the road and you pull the hydro back to stop suddenly it can over-rev the engine and break the cam shaft. That is hear say only though. If it's been taken care of you should be happy with it.
