As far as I know it was the 2008 9770's, not sure about 9670's. The combine serial numbers involved with the recall spans pretty much the whole 2008 year models, but the recall went by engine serial numbers and so not all 2008's required it. I have a 2008 9770 and I checked into all this before I bought it and mine was good, it wasn't involved. Don't get concerned about it, just have your dealer run your serial number and they will tell if it was one of the recalled machines and if so, whether the work was done or not. This issue comes up on this forum every so often and frankly, there are some who I think are making too much out of it. I mean, if its got 7 seasons on it without an engine problem it's probably alright. However, I would verify it by having the serial number ran so that I would know for sure. The only reason I can see for concern would be if it needed the work but never got it done. There can't be very many out there that did not make it in for the recall.
