Subject: RE: Draper Header Cart

Western illinois
I bought a J&M with 4ws this summer. It follows well into gateways from narrow roads. I, too, was concerned about backing into sheds. I haven't had any trouble at all. Mine is a 38' for a 36' draper. I personally wouldn't want one without 4ws for my application. If one has wide roads and entrances, it may not be that big of a deal. Here, it is. On the minus side, I wanted to lower my main bar a hole to flatten it out some. The rear bar was fine, the front one rubbed the tire when set in the same position. There may be better designs for drapers, I don't know. I've often wondered if a low profile flatbed trailer would be better. I'd like to just set the whole head on a trailer, like it would be on the ground.
