I switched from a Deere 1770 to a CIH 1255 bulk fill. Best decision I ever made. I can now do an excellent job no-tilling without any aftermarket parts and virtually no sidewall compaction. The leading edge disc design does an excellent job of cutting through residue with much less downforce. I like how the gauge wheels pull instead of push and the closing system does a good job of closing the seed trench and firming the seed, without the need of a seed firmer. My seed depth is also much more uniform. Don't think I'll ever go back to a Deere.
