WOW! What a cool monitor. I left the camera in the cab of the tractor but I had my first run with it today doing some tillage. Had a good afternoon and learned a lot of things about it. It looks to me like this thing has a lot of possiblities that we are only seeing the beginning of. All of the documentation that I have seen claims that the recording will NOT use the SCV's as a start/stop source in a tractor older than a late 20 series or early 30 series and that many of the performance monitor functions will NOT perform. ALL of the readouts and switch functions work flawlessly in our 2000 model 9400 which is a really good thing. I'm getting the impression from our dealership that this tractor with the factory greenstar harness is a rarity. The guys we plant corn for like to provide the fuel and then pay a flat rate but aren't always able to come fill us up when we need it. This way we will know what they owe in fuel. I'm having a hard time getting the mapping to show up quite like I want it. Some of this might be because I'm using a coulter machine and moving quite fast, but I have the hydraulic set at 4 seconds and the recording doesn't start until the hydraulic kicks out. Even though there is no skips in the field, the map shows there is. Is this going to be an issue when mapping with the planter at 5 mph? I can't wait to get this in the sprayer and setup the swath control. |
