A trimble autopilot valve is a electric over Hydraulic valve with 2 wires on the left steer solenoid and 2 wires on the right steer solenoid . There is nothing trimble could do to make it simpler for JD to just hook up the 2 wires on the left steering valve and the 2 wires on the right steering valve. JD would have to use their software from there to steer the tractor. There is no software in a electric solonoid it is just a electric over hydralic valve.
