There may well be more to this then I understand, but it looks to me like you are being sold a bill of goods here. The service into our bins is nothing special. It doesn't take too much to power 400 amp service and that is plenty to run the converter and any load most farms are likely to generate outside of irrigation wells or roller mills or the like with 100 hp motors on them.
