| There is something called MSDN subscriptions. That is Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN). Anyone can purchase a subscription, and with that, you get a full set of current installs for all of the Microsoft products. You also get the opportunity to get beta's of their development tools, office products, and operating systems. As a software development company, you effectively have to be a subscriber. It gives us a chance to test our stuff in the new environments before people start getting it "off-the-shelf" already installed on new PC's.
It is really a fairly affordable program is you have ANY reason to stay completely current on all versions of the supported Operating Systems, Office, and developer tools.
And, yes, Ed is a guru that has the good fortune to mess with computers in the off-season, instead of cows. | |
