Subject: Viper (Old Style, Case IH Branded) and Trimble AP

I have an old style (though not very old) Viper recieving GPS from an EZ 500. The 500 is hooked up to AP and I am pulling GPS from the laptop port on the nav controller. Going to try firmware upgrade on viper (currently on v2.08C). The Viper will lose GPS whenever you press a button on the 500. It comes back quickly. Then, while in a job, you cannot set an AB line on the 500. The Viper locks up and wont respond to anything except rebooting. You can set the AB line then start the job, but this is not practical. The Viper also loses GPS everytime there is a change in voltage anywhere on the machine. Throttling up for example makes the thumbs up go to the yellow caution sign. Any help would be appreciated.
