alange hit everything on the head. Just a few things to add. Supposedly the EZ-250's can not be used for Auto-Pilot hydraulic steering control. EZ-Guide plus and EZ-500 can. From what I have heard Trimble is not planning on the EZ-250 supporting Auto-Pilot in the future either.

Last thing, the EZ-250's and the EZ-500's communicate faster with EZ-Steer's if you are ever planning on going that route. They can all be 6-8in accuracy with WAAS, but the EZ-250's and EZ-500 communicate information back and forth with the EZ-Steer controller much faster. This allows that electric motor to react more timely. This was a major improvement over the EZ-Guide plus.

All-in-all not a whole lot changed. Just need to consider what you might be using it for down the line.
