I'm not sure how to describe the problem, but it's more of an ergonomic thing. You can't really rest your foot on the pedal, that would activate it. So-you have to hold your foot slightly above the switch like you're getting ready to step on a mouse...but that gets uncomfortable after a while. Sometimes the switch becomes hard-to-find with the foot also. The spring-loaded rockers allow you to rest your finger (or thumb) on the switch until push activation is needed. The floor switch seemed like a great idea to us, but not after running both the foot & the rocker switch for some time. Again, don't let me interfere w/your plans. You might find the opposite situation that we did. |
