I don't want to meddle in your business, but have you used a foot-activated switch already for autopilots? If so, maybe you're happy w/using them.

We've had 2 of them on different applications. One was on a combine, the other a 4wd tractor. We've removed both of them & now prefer just the spring-loaded type rocker switch for your hand.

This has nothing to do w/wiring, just personal preferences. This is also the viewpoint from a couple of different drivers. None of us liked the foot switches. However, your use may be totally different. Don't go by what I say if you've already started wiring.
