Subject: Re: Pin out for 252 DB 9

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
The update cable would need Pins 2,3 & 5 going to the 9 Pin connector to plug into a computer serial port.

Pins 10 & 11 will need to branch off and go to a 12V source since the computer cannot provide 12V for Power to the 252.

If the 252 is installed with a cable going to Port A then that connection could provide the power for the 252 during the update process and the update cable would only need the 9 Pin connection.

Becareful not to feed 12V back into your computer from an outside source as damage may result.

As mentioned below the 252 cannot be used to feed "high end" GPS into the 500. I'm not clear if that was your intention. The 500 can receive external corretion from other devices but the internal GPS would still be utilized.
