A standard mounting would be nice. Most companies use a standard mount for their own lineup but might use filler plates to fit small and big machine/header combinations.

One problem you might run into is the different theory of feeder house feeding. As the conventional cylinders were widened out to increase the capacity of the bigger machines, the feeder was widend out to feed it evenly. JD went down this road big time. On the other side you look at the rotory theory of getting a lot of material into a narrower but taller throat of a rotor. Hence a narrower but taller feeder house. IH went down this road.

I remember thinking how odd that narrow feeder looked when I first saw it but after understanding the theory, see why it that way. It has never bee the bottle neck either,

There are aftermarket adapters available for most combinations so I would think there could be a standard created that wouldn't have to sacrifice funtion or capacity. GO FOR IT!
