SE Iowa | Just working completing first Insight install. On planter, going to use it as planter console, control of point row clutches, control of two liquid fertilizers (I hope). Not doing any variable rate this season. On sprayer, in leau of Raven console and also running autoswath. I have no experience with SMS and limited time. My question is what do I need to have setup prior to going to the field. Do I need to go out and map my boundaries including waterways and import them into the console, or can I fly by the seat of my pants. I am not running any light bar. I want the info that I gather to be meaningful, with a parallel concern being getting operational fairly soon here. I missed the SMS classes for this spring, so I'm sort of stranded.
I know, I know, such a rookie. I just want to know how to prioritize my setup energies. Thanks. | |
