Pittsburg, Kansas

I have a brother who has a UFT hydraulic. I thgink he likes it ok. The main thing is there is not nearly as much horsepower available through the hydraulic system as the pto so not going to be able to auger as many bushels per minute. I have heard people say it cuts auger capacity in about half (unloads twice as slow). I have a hydraulic motor kit ready to install on our Brent but have never used it. Thought if it got really bad wet we could put the cart behind an articulated 4wd or big track tractor none of which have pto's. So far haven't need to do it.

If you are planning on pushing the cart to the limit catching two or three combines big fast unloading augers are what makes a cart work and are very important. If you are only going to catch one not too large combine on the go or just set it at the end of the field when a truck is not there to dump into I would think the hydraulic would be adequate.
