North Central Illinois | Bought one used about 4 seasons ago. Pull it with a MX210 FWA. Put a heavy duty drawbar on MX and use a chain support from 3 pt to help support drawbar. My planter was about a 2000 model and did have some welding on main frame wings under the hoppers. Welds appear to be OK yet. Markers are very heavy and need to make sure restricters are in marker cylinders which I am sure they are. The drive tires for seed had calcium and have since gone to just air filled with 2 out of 3 without issues. Have to watch and not keep planter in ground on tight turns as outside drive wheel could reverse direction in the turn and will break the drive coupling that drives the drum. These couplings are not normally stocked as they don't break on smaller planters so recommend you get one if you buy planter.
Very reliable planter in my opinion. | |
