Macon, IL | Sorry if this is stupid but real newbie here, I have never traded any options but am thinking this may be time to get my feet wet. Bought my crop insurance today so I have a "floor" of sorts under 75% of my production. Would like to do something to protect some of that remaining 25%.
I think I would like to buy puts on 10,000bu.
What do you guys recommend for cheap/easy-online would be even cooler if it were reputable. Not interested in some subscription advisor servie ala Roach or Top 3rd. Just want something simple like eTrade that I use for stocks.
I assume with puts I can just setup the account-fund it for the amount of the puts and execute that-and hopefully never see that money again-but if prices drop the money goes into the account when the date passess. Sound correct? Recomendations of companies? | |
