I think he's going to have that problem as long as he owns a JD head with OEM rolls of any type on them. We have knife rolls and run them overdriven, wide open. Late in the season with dry stalks they still leave them long and stringy. We didn't used to have as much trouble with that but a combination of BT Stalks and faster ground speed has magnified the problem.
