West Texas | I drive an 02 Duramax-Allison combo. 109.000 miles and engine or transmission trouble yet.
The injectors are the weak link. Lots and lots of them have been replaced on these trucks. We have two 04 models that have had them replaced at around 65.000 miles. Both of the 04's seem to have a lot more problems with them.
The 03 we have has been trouble free too.
I don't know about he 6 speed manual transmission.
On the 02 the injectors are waranted for up to 7 years or 200.000 miles.
I really like the Duramax. Milage is not all that great on mine (11-13 mpg) but it crosses the scales at over 9000lbs and it has oversized tires. (I have a big heavy foot too!) | |
