I have no doubt that Redwrench knows what he's talking about on the Cummins engines. I was just surprised they run that low of boost pressure. He's had alot more years of working with the Cummins than I have. I have to say I'm not familiar with an external anernoid like what it sounds like your describing. Could well be dirt and moisture. Could be dirt and oil packing on the inside if a turbo seal is leaking and blowing oil down the intake. I can only recall ever once having an anernoid problem on a Bosche inline pump. And on those units the anernoid is pretty well protected from outside dirt. |
