That all makes sense to me. It is understandable that if you wanted to plant 2 different populations across one planter bar, you would need the second hydraulic drive on there to accomplish this but I don't understand why you can't log 2 varieties when using only 1 drive. This seems like simple site verification with hybrid x on the left and hybrid Y on the right but it must be more complicated than that. I don't need to run two populations at one time so I see no reason to put a second drive on there. I would be happy to pay the unlock fee for the multi- product feature if that would enable the split planter function with this setup. That's not good if people at ag leader are telling you two different stories on whether this will work or not, although there is a bit of hope if one of the tech's said that it would work with one drive. Keep me posted if you here anything different from ag leader.
