I am sure you have ran that by the Iowa DNR and State Fire Marshall. Your pump and plumbing need to be in the dike. Are you going to leave the door in the bin? Is the capacity level below the door? That all needs to be approved by the state on a spill protection plan.

As stated above, there is a "Farmer Way" of doing things that is going to cost everybody in the long run. You will most likely never have a leak ether.

And I know of some dealers that still have none of these plans of containment.

And as far as I have been told, all your tanks not on wheels will have to be in the dike. It is not the capacity of one, but all your tanks added together that is how you know if you need containment.

Could be wrong, as I just installed alot of systems and did not get into the design and the reg's are changing fast. I could follow the plans and some times wondered how the he!! they came up with some of them, but that is for another time. My crew did the liner under the tanks at the ethanol plant at Burlington, Ia. How far are you from there, Cliff?
